Wax paste, loose and slick to the touch. A few percent into the ink and the tack drops enough that cheap paper stops shedding fuzz into the image. It shortens the thread head in resin-based ink and improves gloss and wettability on the way. Keep it under five percent and always pair it with dry oil. 2 to 2.5kg tins, 12 per carton, two year shelf.

No pigment, just resin and solvent cooked into a clear paste. Add it to ink that is running too heavy and it pulls the color back without changing the tack or the transfer. Four jobs in one tin: color reducer for plate corrections, color enhancer at low dose, gloss reviver for stale ink, fixer for ink that never printed right. 10 to 20 percent. 2.5kg tins, 12 per carton, two year shelf.

When the ink is stiff in the fountain and the edges are printing hard. A couple of percent of this oil softens the halo, loosens the body, and the ink starts transferring like it should. It also pushes the drying along, which most viscosity reducers do the opposite of. Stir it in evenly, one to three percent. 10kg drums, two per carton, two year shelf
